# Overview

Pocket is Conso’s digital asset hub: a wallet system designed to aggregate custody, self-custody, and connected wallets in one place.

**Pocket** is Conso’s asset layer. It’s not a single wallet type—Pocket is a multi-mode wallet system built to support different user needs and risk preferences:

* **Vault (Custodial)** — Conso-managed custody for simple, product-native asset flows (currently in beta)
* **Wallet (Self-custody)** — a non-custodial wallet where you control keys (not launched / not open for beta yet)
* **Connect Wallet** — connect an external wallet to view and use assets without importing keys (planned)

Pocket is designed to keep your asset experience consistent across Conso features, even as the wallet modes roll out in phases.

#### Activation and availability

Pocket may show different states depending on what’s available to your account and what’s launched in your region/version:

* You may see Pocket features in the UI but some actions (e.g., Transfer) are limited to Vault beta users.
* Some users may have balances (e.g., rewards) before they complete Vault activation—Pocket should still surface what exists, and clearly indicate what requires activation or eligibility.

#### How Pocket fits into Conso

Pocket is the asset foundation that supports:

* Conso’s reward/value flows (e.g., incentives and program balances)
* Asset-aware experiences across the product
* Future account safety and recovery strategies (as wallet modes expand)

* Vault, Wallet, and Connect Wallet are different custody models. They will not necessarily share identical capabilities at launch.

No. Pocket is designed as a wallet system: Vault (custody) is first, Wallet (self-custody) will follow, and Connect Wallet is planned.
