# Why Telegram

Conso is built on Telegram’s identity and messaging layer—so you can use Conso as your Telegram client and keep your social graph where it already lives.

Conso is a Telegram-native client. That means your primary identity in Conso is your Telegram account, and Conso works best when you treat Telegram as the base layer for messaging, channels, and groups.

#### **Why Conso is built on Telegram**

**1/ Telegram is the social graph**

In Telegram, channels and groups are the center of discovery and community. For Web3 users, this is where most real-time information and coordination already happens. Conso builds on that existing graph instead of trying to recreate it from scratch.

**2/ Telegram is the delivery layer**

Conso relies on Telegram’s network for message delivery, group participation, and channel consumption. This lets Conso focus on enhancing the experience—feeds, signals, token context, community tools—without requiring users to migrate their social life to a new network.

**3/ Telegram is the privacy baseline**

Telegram provides a privacy-oriented communication model, including strong account controls and optional security features. Conso inherits this baseline and adds product-layer enhancements on top.

#### What this means for you

* You don’t need to create a separate Conso account to start.
* Your Conso identity maps to your Telegram identity (via your Telegram login).
* Your channels, groups, and chats remain consistent—Conso changes the experience, not the underlying network.
